About the Game
Pallanguzhi is one of the oldest and most beloved traditional board games of South India, played for centuries across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Sri Lanka. A two-player strategy game played on a board with 14 pits (7 on each side), players sow and capture cowrie shells in a rhythmic, meditative pattern — a game of skill, patience, and cultural heritage.
